Having fired GM Thomas Dimitroff and HC Dan Quinn, the Falcons are now led by interim HC Raheem Morris and DC Jeff Ulbrich to face a 1-4 Vikings team that is better than its record after banking its last two losses (Seattle, Tennessee) by one-point margins. Having surrendered 27-plus points in 4-of-5 games, however, Minnesota’s defense is enough of a sieve to put Matt Ryan in bounce-back position after managing QB28, QB25, and QB25 fantasy finishes over his last three starts. (He hasn’t thrown a touchdown pass since the first drive of Week 3!). Playing indoors with Julio Jones (hamstring) back, I like Ryan’s chances of resuming his weekly 300-yard, multi-TD ways. … Running backs facing Mike Zimmer’s defense have logged a 124/561/5 (4.49 YPC) rushing line, setting up an above-par matchup for Todd Gurley, whose to-date touch counts are 16, 21, 15, 17, and 19 even on just 54% of Atlanta’s offensive snaps. Gurley should remain a sturdy RB2 for as long as his degenerative knee holds up.
