I can get that the fall swing may not be at the top of everyone’s list when it comes to the sporting world this time of year, but man it felt good to have a full-field, traditional-cut event back in our lives. And with a field full of grinders who are fighting for status, Sunday had me as captivated as ever. So many of the guys who were duking it out in the final round had been Value Report finds at one point or another throughout the season, and it’s truly fun to watch when they start to deliver on their promise. Steven Fisk’s back nine was electric, as he out-dueled Garrick Higgo to win his first PGA Tour event and lock up a Tour card for another two years. His Korn Ferry Tour stats that highlighted him as an elite ball striker were on full display, and finally running into a hot putter was the recipe for massive success.

For those new to the article, I’ll be sure to always review last week’s selections with the goal in mind for all selections to be under 10% owned while hopefully delivering a couple of high-upside results. It was more of a mixed bag than I’d like at the Sanderson, with four out of the six players missing the cut. The one who stings the most is Niklas Norgaard, as I’m ready to pull the plug on his PGA Tour experiment. There really was no better setup for him than a driving and putting contest, and even with a hole in one, he didn’t even sniff the weekend. Just a brutal performance. On the positive side, Thomas Rosenmueller racked up his second full-field top 30 of his rookie campaign with strong ball striking once again. The best score of the week though was Pierceson Coody, who we got an assist on with him being Jeremy’s flag plant. Coody is a bit volatile, but at his ceiling, he’s easily a top-half-of-the-field player in the fall swing, and hopefully we can take advantage again even if it’s at a higher price.

Sadly, as fulfilling as the Sanderson Farms was, we revert back to a no-cut format for this week’s Baycurrent Classic, taking place in Japan. A brand-new sponsor and a new course, plus a dozen players getting into the field via the Japan Golf Tour’s order of merit, definitely leaves a lot open to discussion. The top of the field though is headlined by Xander Schauffele, Hideki Matsuyama, and Collin Morikawa with a sneaky strong $9K range too that makes the value plays very interesting on top-heavy builds. With this event having no cut as well, a bit of the risk is taken off the plate with the lower end, too. Here’s to hoping to stay unique with the 78-golfer field and finding some low-owned gems!

Sahith Theegala, $6,800 – Name value alone, it’s insane to see the once rising star Sahith Theegala in the $6K range at an event like this. But outside of hand-builders thinking Theegala is still one of the world’s best, I don’t think projection-driven builds will be jamming Sahith, and I still really do think we can get single-digit ownership on him here. The reason I’m willing to risk it is a lot of the tail-end struggles last season were due to injury, and although it was just a T28 at the Procore, Sahith had his best iron performance of 2025. We know he can get white hot on and around the greens, and his birdie ability from that short game puts his ceiling at a higher tier than almost any value play this week.
