L.A. Chargers @ Tennessee
Team Totals: Chargers 26, Titans 17.5
The Chargers come off a mini-bye after Week 8’s Thursday night win over Minnesota to face a dead Titans team that won’t have top defender Jeffery Simmons (hamstring) and has begun selling assets ahead of next week’s trade deadline. Bolts LT Joe Alt is off Week 9’s injury report, important because Justin Herbert is averaging 8.0 yards per pass attempt with a 107.2 rating with Alt on the field this year, versus 6.7 YPA with an 88.6 rating sans Alt. This week, Tennessee sent top CB L’Jarius Sneed (quad) to I.R. and traded No. 2 CB Roger McCreary to the Rams. Herbert should do whatever he wants on Sunday. … Continuing to build trust with Jim Harbaugh’s coaching staff, Kimani Vidal established season highs in playing time (74%) and touches (24) against the Vikings while successfully salting away the game late. “(He’s) playing like a No. 1 running back,” Harbaugh said of Vidal on Tuesday. “Not just on our team, but in the NFL. He’s been playing like a No. 1 running back in the entire league.” Only the Bengals have surrendered more fantasy RB points than the Titans.
