N.Y. Giants @ Chicago
Team Totals: Bears 26, Giants 21.5
I waited until Friday night to write up this game due to weather concerns; temps in the 30s and fairly significant winds were in the forecast as of this writing. Normally, I’d expect this game to be totaled around 50. It hovered between 46 and 48 all week. … The conditions figure to compel both teams to call more run plays, especially notable on New York’s side after OC Mike Kafka named Tyrone Tracy Jr. the Giants’ starting running back over Devin Singletary on Thursday. Already getting gashed by enemy RBs for 5.0 yards per carry, the Bears lost every-down DL Dayo Odeyingbo (Achilles) for the season in Week 9 and won’t have top ILB T.J. Edwards (hand/hamstring) here. … Jaxson Dart has exceeded 202 passing yards just once through six starts, and windy Soldier Field won’t help his odds of bucking that trend. Yet Dart is fantasy’s overall QB3 over the past six weeks, and Chicago is allowing the NFL’s fourth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. On paper, Dart profiles as a high-floor QB1 starter. I’m considering him a bit more volatile than usual here due to the conditions.
