Panthers at Falcons, 1:00 p.m. EST (return to top)
- Snaps and Pace: Pat Thorman called this game a slow-paced slog. Carolina’s contests rank 29th in total points (39.9) and produce only 120.1 combined snaps. Their games’ low volume is no surprise; Carolina ranks 31st in PROE both on the season (-8%) and over the past month (-11%). Atlanta is deploying a bottom-10 PROE (-4%) joined with the third-slowest neutral pace over expected (-2.9), leading to games with the seventh-fewest combined snaps. Atlanta’s defense performs significantly better against the pass (12th in EPA per play) than the run (28th), and faces the fourth-lowest opponent PROE (-4%), all of which contribute to the Falcons’ low-volume contests yielding the seventh-fewest total points (41.9).
