With the first signature event of the season in the books, the PGA Tour backs it up with another iconic venue, Riviera Country Club. After a one-year hiatus due to the wildfires, the Genesis Invitational returns to Riviera, a golf course widely regarded as one of the finest the PGA Tour will see all year. The 2026 Genesis Invitational also marks the 100th iteration of the event, previously known as the L.A. Open. As we’ve come to expect in these signature events, the field this week will be stacked with 23 of the top 25 in the world in attendance.

The Course:

Riviera was designed in 1927 by George Thomas and renovated by Coore and Crenshaw in 1992. It’s extremely well regarded by golf casuals and architecture enthusiasts alike for its unique hole design and emphasis on angles throughout the course. The 2026 Genesis will see Riviera play as a 7,383-yard par 71 with three par 5s, four par 3s, and 11 par 4s while featuring kikuyu from tee to green and poa annua greens.
