While there will be some familiarity amongst the athletes on this roster, there is zero continuity between head coach, offensive coordinator, and quarterback. With no preseason games and just over a full month in training camp, Columbus will have a steep learning curve, likely to result in some early-season struggles.
Ohio State standout receiver and ace return man Tedd Ginn Jr. will take over as the Aviators’ head man, attempting to jumpstart a coaching career that only includes experience at the high school level. His lack of professional coaching experience introduces a very wide range of outcomes that we should be quick to adjust to as DFS players, and also leads me to believe that he’ll be more reliant on OC Todd Haley, who is his antithesis in terms of coaching experience with nearly 30 years at the professional ranks under his belt.
