Pittsburgh @ L.A. Rams
Team Totals: Rams 23, Steelers 20
Pittsburgh returns from its Week 6 bye ranked bottom three in scoring (15.8 PPG) with a bottom-10 offensive line (per PFF) quarterbacked by Kenny Pickett, who ranks 29th among 35 qualified QBs in Next Gen Stats’ passer rating (78.8). In points per game, Pickett is fantasy’s overall QB28. The Rams’ D/ST is full-on streamable here. … In Pittsburgh’s pre-bye Week 5 win over Baltimore, Najee Harris out-snapped Jaylen Warren by a mere 37-to-32 margin and out-touched Warren 15 to 12. This has devolved into a near-even committee due to Harris’ inefficiency and Warren’s versatility edge. The Rams have played middling run defense, yielding 4.2 yards per carry but just two all-purpose TDs to enemy backs in six games. I’m valuing Harris as a low-ceiling RB2/flex and Warren as a flex option with six teams on bye.
Diontae Johnson’s (hamstring) return from I.R. throws a wrench into Steelers pass-game projections; in 2022, Johnson commanded a team-dominant 25% target share on Pickett throws. The Rams lost starting CB Derion Kendrick when he was arrested Monday on a felony gun charge. Kendrick was playing 96% of L.A.’s defensive snaps. I’m dialing Johnson right back up as a fantasy WR3.
