Passing Game Outlook
The Q25, QB15, and QB16 in points per game under OC Ben Johnson, Jared Goff’s career has been defined by his stark contrast of play under pressure (5.5 yards per attempt) compared to that from a clean pocket (7.8 YPA). Fortunately, Detroit’s 2024 schedule is a layup with only one outdoor game through November (Week 9 against Green Bay) and three consecutive home contests in Weeks 13-15 while the rest of the league sleeps in hotels. Back-to-back road games in the fantasy semifinals (Week 16 at Chicago) and Championship (at San Francisco) are moot since spot starters can be plucked off the waiver wire in advance. Goff should be viewed in the same matchup-based tier as Tua Tagovailoa and Kirk Cousins and remains my favorite QB2 for Superflex leagues.
