Thursday Night Football
Buffalo @ Miami
Team Totals: Dolphins 25, Bills 23.5
Josh Allen was the best player on the field in last Sunday’s win over Arizona, averaging over 10 yards per pass attempt and accounting for four all-purpose TDs en route to Week 1’s overall QB1 finish. Including playoffs, Allen has faced the Dolphins five times since Mike McDaniel became Miami’s head coach. Allen’s fantasy-point totals in those games are 26.6, 28.7, 38.7, 37.9, and 31.7. … Bills OC Joe Brady’s run-game emphasis carried over from last year’s second half into Week 1 as Buffalo piled up 33 rushes versus 25 pass plays. Neither Ray Davis nor Ty Johnson made a noteworthy dent, yet Allen’s scoring-position usage remains a drag on James Cook’s upside. The Dolphins did cough up a combined 24/117/1 (4.9 YPC) rushing line to Jaguars RBs on Opening Day. Cook is every bit RB2 playable. Davis is barely stash-worthy after working behind Johnson against the Cards.
