Sunday Night Football
Cincinnati @ L.A. Chargers
Team Totals: Bengals 23.5, Chargers 24.5
Cincinnati’s quest to defeat a respectable opponent (with their four wins coming against the Panthers, Giants, Deshaun Watson’s Browns, and Raiders) continues on Sunday night against a Chargers defense that’s stymied a weak schedule — Will Levis, Jameis Winston, Spencer Rattler, Bo Nix, Justin Fields, Bryce Young, and Gardner Minshew — to 6.5 yards per attempt (28th). Joe Burrow’s ceiling on single-game slates is questionable for it, but he’s an inarguable top-12 option in season-long leagues with nine touchdowns (to one interception) the past two games including consecutive overall QB1 finishes. … With Zack Moss (neck, I.R.) done for the regular season, Chase Brown has out-touched the rest of Cincy’s backfield 54-0 in two starts. It’s admittedly a rough on-paper matchup for him — the Chargers have given RBs just 1.46 yards of breathing room (28th) before making contact — but James Conner (2/51/0), Alvin Kamara (6/55/0), and Tony Pollard (4/19/0) tagged HC Jim Harbaugh’s unit through the air in the last month; Brown’s 15 targets since Week 9 lead his position. He’s cheap enough on FanDuel ($6,800) to warrant late-night hammer status. Khalil Herbert has been shuffled in the One Injury Away list accordingly.
