Passing Game Overview
Justin Fields was 2022’s top breakout quarterback, finishing as fantasy’s overall QB5 while joining Lamar Jackson and Michael Vick as the NFL’s only signal-callers to rush for over 1,000 yards in a season. From Week 6 on, Fields logged a 14:7 TD-to-INT ratio as a passer and 118/949/7 (8.0 YPC) rushing line and was the QB4 in points per game. GM Ryan Poles looks committed to building around Fields after trading for WRs Chase Claypool and D.J. Moore, drafting RT Darnell Wright in the first round, and signing RG Nate Davis to a three-year, $30 million deal. While I anticipate OC Luke Getsy maintaining a run-dominated offensive approach, I also love Fields’ chances of taking a big step as a passer. He’s my overall QB5.
