It’s that time of year where we’ll take a few looks at awards markets over the next several weeks. I’ll release a rookie-focused column the Monday after the NFL Draft, and I’ll do another look at value options right after the schedule release. Then, come August, I’ll do a deeper dive on every market.
Both Rookie of the Year markets are off the board at the time of this writing, but if I catch anything in those markets leading into the draft, I’ll post it in the betting channel of Discord.
MVP Value Options
Jalen Hurts (+2200 to +3500 FanDuel)
I’m not particularly high on Hurts, and there are signs that the Eagles’ roster is in a real state of decline. That said, Philadelphia is a perennial contender with a 10.5 win total, and there was a fair chance that Hurts would have won the 2022 MVP if not for a late-season injury. While that was four years ago, we’ve seen Hurts play at an MVP level, and he’ll turn 28 in August. Generally, I think one of the favorites wins this year’s MVP, but a spike season is not outside the realm of possibilities for Hurts, which makes him worthy of consideration as a value option.
