Houston @ Tennessee
Team Totals: Titans 20, Texans 16.5
I recently took the Texans to miss the playoffs at -115; they’re presently the most-injured team in the league. C.J. Stroud (concussion, doubtful) will sit at least one game. Nico Collins (calf) is on the doubtful side of his questionable tag. Tank Dell (broken fibula) is done for the year. RT George Fant (questionable, hip) didn’t practice all week. The defense is decimated in key spots, as well. The Titans’ D/ST is enticing here. … Over his last 13 starts, Texans fill-in QB Davis Mills has a 15:15 TD-to-INT ratio while averaging just 6.7 yards per attempt and fumbling five times. … The Texans’ best shot at keeping Sunday’s game competitive is likely to highlight Devin Singletary on the ground. Houston’s lone bright spot in Week 14’s loss to the Jets, Singletary retook the Texans’ backfield from Dameon Pierce en route to 13/65/1 rushing. The Titans are missing critical up-front defenders Jeffery Simmons (knee), Kyle Peko (calf, I.R.), and Teair Tartt (released, effort). … I expect the Texans to deploy a Week 15 four-man wideout weave of Xavier Hutchinson, Robert Woods, Noah Brown, and John Metchie with Dalton Schultz returning from his two-game absence at tight end. You’re on your own throwing darts at any of them with Mills at the controls.
