Dynasty Outlook and Profile Summary
March 25
Travis Hunter is our WR3 for rookie drafts and checks in as WR26 in our overall dynasty ranks. There is no doubt that Hunter is an elite talent at WR, but his two-way prowess and lack of a definitive landing spot make it difficult to project exactly how much he will play on offense at the next level. The scouts may like him better as a corner, but there is objectively more money to be made playing WR. There is ultimately some unique risk here for dynasty fantasy football, and where you select him will be a matter of risk tolerance. Hunter could absolutely wind up being the biggest steal in rookie drafts should he “major” in offense at the next level.

By the Numbers
Hunter is perhaps the most unique player in college football history. While pundits have compared him to the likes of Charles Woodson and Deion Sanders, nobody has ever truly had full-time two-way ability on display like Hunter. He played 1,552 snaps in his final season at Colorado in 13 games (119.4 per game). To put that into context, Tet McMillan played 59.7 snaps per game this year, while Jahdae Barron played 69.8. Hunter played just 10 less snaps per game than the combined totals of a first-round WR/CB combo, and it didn’t negatively impact his production.
