Minnesota vs. Cleveland
Team Totals: Vikings 19.5, Browns 16.5
Take your children apple picking Sunday morning.
Minnesota stayed in Europe after their Week 4 Dublin game against Pittsburgh, but that’s where the positives end: The Vikings have allowed a league-high 18 sacks and will have backup C Blake Brandel, LG Joe Huber, and RT Justin Skule (who allowed three sacks in place of Christian Darrisaw through Week 2) all in their starting lineup. Even in producing back-to-back top-12 scores, Carson Wentz has eaten nine sacks with a fumble on 31 dropbacks under pressure. A Browns defensive TD is 18-1. … Similar to David Montgomery’s dud last week, Jordan Mason does not have the skill set to succeed against this front seven which held Chase Brown, Derrick Henry, Josh Jacobs, and D-Mont to a combined 57/108/1 rushing line for 1.8 yards per carry. Given the injured landscape at his position, however, Mason is a (relative) RB2. Former UDFA Zavier Scott surprisingly took on Aaron Jones’ role in Dublin, earning a 15.2% target share to Mason’s 6.5%. Scott is Minnesota’s version of Justice Hill for showdown.
