We had the Pistons vs. Raptors game get delayed a day, so we’re down to just a six-game slate today. Only four teams are faced with a back-to-back game, so it’s pretty straightforward. There are three big injuries to watch, so let’s lead with that and hit on some of the other matchup notes to watch in these games today.
Top Questionable Tags
Kyle Anderson (illness) is questionable to play, and Grayson Allen (concussion) has already been ruled out. No Allen means we’ll definitely get De’Anthony Melton in the rotation, but Jenkins will be adding another guy to his rotation if no Anderson because he likes to go 10 deep. In a matchup against the Wizards, you’d think he’d want to do smaller, so I’d think John Konchar would be the next man up. Of course, you’re not using him. The big winners would be Brandon Clarke and Xavier Tillman with likely a little PF/C time together while Winslow may play a little more PF rotation-wise, too.
Jaylen Brown missed the last one, and it was Javonte Green getting the start to try to slow down Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal. In this matchup, you’d think Green would be the guy again, if Brown can’t go. Of course, Green doesn’t have much fantasy value, so no Jaylen would mean more upside for Kemba Walker, Jayson Tatum and Daniel Theis. It’s nice to see Theis finally getting out of his slump, which does cut down Robert Williams‘ upside a bit.
Jimmy Butler (knee) has inflammation and is questionable, so it really makes little sense to play him here. If he’s out, the Heat will likely go with the double-PG lineup of Kendrick Nunn and Goran Dragic with Tyler Herro behind them. Nunn has been awesome and this will also help Bam Adebayo in a tougher matchup.
